Audio Visual Equipment

The following Audio Visual equipment is available for rent at a cost of $10.00 per 24 hour period:

• Slide Projector
• Overhead projector
• Screen

ILLO (Interlibrary Loan)

As a member of the province wide INFO (Information Network for Ontario) Network, the Thorold Public Library is able to obtain materials from the more than 170 public libraries in Ontario. Through this network, borrowers are able to request and borrow materials not owned by Thorold Public Library, but held by other Ontario public libraries. Requests for interlibrary loans may be made by phone or in person at the Information Desk.

Computer / Internet Access

A current and valid Thorold Public Library card is required to use the eight public computers and one express station at the main branch and the three public computers at the Port Robinson Branch. The following services are available:

• Internet Access
• Word Processing
• Scanning
• Black and Colour Printing

Lamination

Lamination of materials is available for the following costs:

• Business or wallet card: $1.00
• 8.5 inch by 11 inch page $2.00
• 8.5 inch by 14 inch page $2.00
• 11 inch by 17 inch page $3.00

Microfilm Reader/Printer

Free access to a microfilm reader/printer is available at the main branch. A cost of $0.25 per page will be charged for printing.

OverDrive Download Station

Download audiobooks directly to your devices in the library at the OverDrive Download Station or remotely from any Internet connection through the library website using a valid library card number.

Parking

Free parking is available at the Vine Street entrance of the library.

Photocopiers

Photocopying is available at the following costs:

• $0.20 per page any size black & white
• $1.00 per page letter size colour
• $1.50 per page legal size colour
• $2.00 per page ledger size colour

Scanning

A scanner is available for public use, at no cost.

Word Processing

Free access to word processing workstations is available at both branches. A cost of $0.25 per page will be charged for printing.

Early Literacy Station

Thorold Public Library offers two AWE Early Literacy Station located in the children's department. The Early Literacy Station™ (ELS) is a groundbreaking educational tool for children ages 2 through 10 which provides  a fun interface that encourages exploration. Complete with 50 education software titles, this station will grab any kids imagination!

Kids Audio Station

Children can listen to books, songs and music on CD at the Kids Audio Station located in the Children's Department.
